Synopsis

Accused of a crime she didn't commit, Bethany Randall takes temporary sanctuary at The Summer Place hoping it will give her time to clear her name. But she questions her decision when Sheriff Marcus Dearing has her in his sights. Afraid of being discovered, she must decide whether to run again or tell all and hope he doesn't arrest her on the spot.

Deciding this is not the best place for her, she tries to leave but fate blocks her way more than once. First a lightning strike hits a limb and sends it crashing on top of her car. Then a large sink hole opens up in the road, blocking her way. And when she thinks she's made a clean getaway, after driving for hours, getting lost, she finds herself right back where she started from.

Resigned to staying put, with help from those at the Summer Place who believe in her innocence, an investigation begins. Now she finds herself caught up in mystery, computer hacking and crime.
